Internships

Already got a taste of work? In a practical course you may get first experiences in commercial as well as technical-industrial areas. Work on your own on interesting projects and put your theoretical knowledge into practice. Work placements are possible in semester breaks or according to individual agreement.

Do you need as precondition for your technical studies a pre-study or a basic work placement? We assist you with that: By means of a technical basic internship at KIRCHHOFF Automotive you create ideal preconditions for the start of your studies.

Dual system studies

The optimum to combine professional experience and university knowledge in a goal-oriented matter. No matter what it is, manufacturing systems engineering, industrial engineering and management, or industrial economics – during the semester break you benefit from intensive personal care and the advancement of self-reliant working. In this connection we offer you attractive looks into various special divisions and areas of activities according to a previously defined schedule. During the complete study period we will support you financially.

Combined study

Or should it be an apprenticeship combined with a study? As joint degree student you make a qualified job training in our company and at the same time you pass through technical or commercial studies. The studies take place at the weekends and require maximum possible personal engagement. But: After only 3,5-4 years you will have got two degrees.

Practical semester

Practical experience instead of grey theory – why not? As practical student you will be integrated in daily work and our projects. We will always take care that you will get further with your profession. Alongside your studies we will impart you consolidated practical know-how in special divisions you ask for. Ideally, you should contribute engagement, team spirit and good course achievements. Experience already as a student the fascinating world of a global player. Are you interested?

Final paper

You already got a subject for your final paper or are looking for it? No matter what it is – Bachelor, Master or Diploma: We like to support you in detecting a concrete subject. Trainee programme

As an alternative to a direct entry we offer opportunities to start as a trainee. Places are limited. You are interested? Here too, give us a call and ask if an entry as a trainee for your preferred time is possible.

Normal duration of programme: 2 years

Divisions: An individual flow chart will be defined together at the beginning of the programme. Divisions can be for example the Purchasing Department, Sales Department, Finance & Controlling, Logistics, Quality Department, Productiona and Project Management.

Pre-conditions:

Good degree (mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, business administration)
Relevant practical experience (i.e. internships, student trainee, apprenticeship)
Willingness to acquire new skills, team ability, and distinctive ability to communicate

Partnerships with advanced technical colleges and universities

In the area of research & development the cooperation based on partnership with advanced technical colleges and universities has proved effective. Science and economy together can make a big difference. That way we especially realized numerous projects successfully with German universities and advanced technical colleges.

But also our worldwide locations use the expertise of lecturers and students. In China we closely work together with the professorship for automotive lightweight construction of the Tongji University in Shanghai. In North America we cooperate with the University of Toronto (Ontario), the Queen’s University in Kingston (Ontario) and the Ryerson University in Toronto (Ontario). In Poland we carry out R&D activities with the Wroclaw University of Technology (Politechnika Wroclawska) and with the AGH University of Science and Technology Krakow (Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza Kraków). Furthermore, we work together with the Institute for Ferrous Metallurgy Gliwice (Instytut Metalurgii Żelaza) and the Institute of Welding Gliwice (Instytut Spawalnictwa).

We are proud to hold partnerships with many universities. Along with the students participating in the dual system program, we choose the universities based on their preference and the company’s interests.
