Your Tasks

  • Prepare Direct Computer Control (D.C.C.) programs for part and fixture layouts
  • Perform calibration of new/current  fixtures and measuring instruments
  • Maintain log of calibrated fixtures and calibration due dates
  • Maintain log of calibration requirements and results
  • Keep an up-to-date inventory list of all fixtures
  • Perform minor gage repair and maintenance
  • Participate in fixture design meetings to provide insight and suggestions on design improvements
  • Summarize CMM report and translate results into AIAG format for submission to management
  • Prepare PPAP, Customer requested, or plant requested layouts
  • Perform annual dimensional layout for all production assemblies
  • Perform capability/statistical studies as requested by management
  • Assist in setup and implementation of Gage R&R studies as required
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and IATF 16949 activities
  • Support Lab activities as needed
  • Support any other necessary duties as assigned by management
  • Complies with any other reasonable request made by management
  • Contributes to a safe, clean, and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize and support) are supported and maintained

Your Profile

Work Experience (provide details and minimum # of years required)

  • Sound understanding of Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • In-depth knowledge of calibration procedures required to perform job responsibilities, Quality system procedures and process’
  • Ability to read, write, and adjust CMM programming
  • Knowledge of Stamping and Welding process’

Skills (language, technical, computer etc.)

  • Sound understanding of IATF 16949/ISO 14001 requirements
  • Microsoft Office Suite, CAD key, PCDMIS (preferred)
  • Proven communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving abilities
  • Able to make decisions and adjust course as necessary
  • Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and exercises sound judgement


·        4 year degree in engineering field preferred; 2 year with related experience will be considered  

·        3-5 years’ experience in CMM programming
