Machine and system operator

"As a machine and system operator I prepare work processes and monitor all machine functions on test benches. Then I start and run the production machines."

Bilal, Apprentice as a machine and system operator at our plant in Attendorn

"The apprenticeship as a machine and system operator is exactly what I like, what I can do well, and what I was looking for: variety and responsibility.

Regularly I check the systems and monitor the production process so that the machines always produce our parts correctly.

I repair smaller incidents on my own, i.e. by changing wear parts. In case of bigger incidents I inform the responsible tool setter and support him on repairing or in setting up the machines.

During my apprenticeship I have learned all basic skills like grinding, jiggering and milling. That helps a lot to understand the systems better and to detect problems.

The fields of application for me are manifold and extend over different production areas: from small machines and welding installations to presses."
