CAD Specialist (Contract)

Your Tasks

  • CAD data management using the internal PLM system-CIM Database and Workspace Manager,
  • Support all Engineering Change (EC) activities related to 2D and 3D data in CIM Database (uploads, data revisions and engineering levels, cad comparison, component drawings creation and updates),
  • Generate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and assist in creating documentation for production and manufacturing processes,
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to create 2D and 3D CAD models of products, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal and global procedures and OEM’s data and drawings creation standards,
  • Develop detailed technical drawings for components and assemblies using NX and CATIA,
  • Conduct thorough component and assembly drawing reviews together with the APQP team to agree on datum scheme and assigned tolerances,
  • Download / upload 2D and 3D cad data, engineering standards and specifications as requested by Program Management or Sales by accessing approved customer portals (e.g. KVS, Honda Web) and databases (e.g. Teamcenter Engineering Databases),
  • Must be able to think and work methodically and independently with minimal supervision.

Your Profile

  • 5-7 years proven experience as a CAD Specialist/Designer, with German (VW, Audi, BMW, Daimler), Japanese (Honda) and North American (Ford, GM, Stellantis) OEM using latest version of CATIA V5/V6 CAD software and NX with Supplier Toolkit,
  • Previous experience working with Teamcenter Databases for North American OEM,
  • Knowledge of product design principles, manufacturing processes (e.g. forming, joining) and material selection,
  • Strong proficiency in creating drawings using GD&T standards (e.g. ASME Y14.5-2018),
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a team-oriented environment,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Ability to focus and effectively manage multiple tasks and changing priorities,
  • Computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint.
