Development in Hungary

The plant in Esztergom was founded in 2004. Following the company's strategy of establishing its own manufacturing facilities in close proximity to its customers, KIRCHHOFF Automotive opened the plant based on its business relationship with Suzuki; for the first six years, it produced body components exclusively for them.

Since then, KIRCHHOFF Automotive in Hungary has significantly expanded its customer base. By 2017, the company added seven additional car manufacturers to the customer portfolio and currently serves the needs of nearly 20 customers - including Mercedes, Audi, and PSA (formerly General Motors) in Hungary; PSA, KIA, and Volkswagen in Slovakia; Porsche and BMW in Germany; Škoda and Hyundai in the Czech Republic; and Ford in Romania.

To serve new customers, the factory area has been expanded in several stages, currently covering 30,963 square metres. The continuous expansion of the factory area has created hundreds of new jobs in the region.
