Maintenance Electrician (Midnight)

Your Tasks
• Maintain all electrical production equipment and building electrical fixtures including general lighting and emergency/exit lighting system. • Modifies existing equipment and installs new equipment as required. • Troubleshoots and diagnoses electric/electronic system faults, tunes equipment and ensures adequate controls and safety measures are functional. • Diagnosis and troubleshoots PLC’s and ensures machine controls and safety measures are meeting the requirements. • Ability to carry out monthly and yearly electrical maintenance procedures, repairing/or replacing parts as required, in accordance with KIRCHHOFF Automotive preventative maintenance program. • Performs some mechanical maintenance on machinery and automation (including robots). • Ensures appropriate replacement parts on order through Maintenance Supervisor. • Adheres to the Occupational Health & Safety Act guidelines. • Any other reasonable request made by management. • Contributes to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act • Ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize and support) are supported and adhered to. • Ensures he/she is in full compliance with the laws of Ontario and/or any other province or state, while representing KIRCHHOFF Automotive or during the use of any KIRCHHOFF Automotive provided equipment. • Judgement – exercises judgement re: • Adherence to all Occupational Health & Safety Act standards/IATF 16949/ISO14001 • Accountability – is accountable in areas of: • Accountable for maintaining accuracy and correctness of all documentation • Responsible for adherence to the Ontario Hydro Electric Code • Contacts – establishes/maintains relationships: Employees at various levels throughout Production, Tool Room, Quality and EngineeringYour Profile
Qualification• Minimum 5 years maintenance experience in repairs and troubleshooting of electrical and PLC systems in a manufacturing company (preferably automotive) • Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings and electrical schematics. • Ability to read circuit diagrams and correlate to actual workpieces. Skills (language, technical, computer etc.) • Good communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to handle multiple tasks Education • Grade 12 and Licensed as an Industrial Electrician • Fully conversant of Ontario Hydro Electrical Code Books • Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic machinery as well as PLC programming (Alen Bradley, Siemens, etc.) .
