A typical day in the Welding Department
"I have been a welding technician at KIRCHHOFF Automotive since 2008. Together with my team, I look after the robotic welders and ensure that work can proceed without interruption. One of my main responsibilities is to evaluate the previous day's production data. From this data we can deduce the re-work rate, machine downtime, and quality aspects. If the data doesn't fall within the acceptable limits, I try to determine the root cause, talk to the employees, and together we find a solution for optimization."
From Welding Technician to head of Department
"I have always found the different techniques of welding fascinating. I started as a welding technician. In 2010, I was offered the opportunity to attend a workshop in Poland that enabled me to qualify for roles with greater responsibility. This further training helped me to be promoted to Head of the Welding department."
