Your Tasks

  • Reports according to the currently valid organization-chart.
  • Design and development of cost-optimized assembly concepts for production of structural components in automotive manufacturing
  • Planning, costing, process assurance, and implementation of new and future-oriented assembly technologies in cooperation with technology suppliers and Technical Development
  • Verifying enquiry documents with respect to feasibility of the assembly and, if required, demonstrating alternatives
  • Evaluating engineering changes with regard to feasibility and cost.
  • Realization and reporting of the project tasks according to PDP
  • Close cooperation with Production Facilities and ME / ME Center
  • Collaboration with welding integrators and assembly technology suppliers
  • Collaboration in the Launch Workflow on assembly processes (VSD, VSM)
  • Storing relevant documents in CIM DATABASE, according to the workflow
  • Supporting Product Development with a focus in production-ready product
  • Supporting the project/customer teams in local region and abroad with regard to joining process and technology
  • Participate in the development of the KA standards for his/her department
  • Participate in the development of the KA standardized "Process Analysis Sheet"
  • Competent contact for other departments such as with Sales, PM, PD & CME with regards to process planning items

Your Profile

  • Degree in engineering with a focus on joining technology or a technical education with further training and professional experience in the area of manufacturing or welding
  • Alternatively a qualification as a welding specialist with subsequent training in the field of process engineering is favorable
  • >3 years professional experience in the area of welding or joining technologies and facility planning, including procurement
  • Experience in manufacturing and project coordination in the automotive industry is favorable
  • Knowledge of the automotive series production process
  • Technical knowledge of joining technology, assembly, and equipment procurement
