Your Tasks

  • Provide necessary leadership and direction to create and maintain a safe manufacturing environment that produces and efficiently delivers the highest quality products based on customer requirements while achieving maximum efficiencies.
  • Direct production operations, optimizing effective use of human, physical and material resources to guarantee maximum cost effectiveness.
  • Achieve product quality levels and service equal to or exceeding customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a Press manufacturing environment that promotes positive employee morale through effective communication, proactive employee relations practices, and a team driven focus.
  • Create and maintain a work environment which achieves high standards for health and safety.
  • Ensure best practices are followed for new technology and systems, which enable KIRCHHOFF Automotive to maintain or exceed performance standards and to be a leader in its particular manufacturing principles.
  • Operate within established budget and capital plan.
  • Assist in strategic planning as a member of the senior management team.
  • Any other reasonable request made by management.
  • Contribute to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize and support) are supported and adhered to.
  • Ensure he/she is in full compliance with the laws of the United States and Tennessee, while representing KIRCHHOFF Automotive or during the use of any KIRCHHOFF Automotive provided equipment.
  • Ensuring manufacturing processes are followed that contribute to meeting customer requirements and maximizing efficiencies
  • Exercises proper judgment based on knowledge and experience regarding established quality criteria
  • Determining actions/steps required to maintain budget parameters
  • Ensuring company policies, procedures, quality standards and control methods are followed
  • Delivering on key business measurables e.g. Health and Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Cost

Your Profile

Work Experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in manufacturing industry to include a minimum of 5 years previous management experience
  • Technical knowledge of current manufacturing processes and systems
  • Able to read and interpret blueprint drawings
  • Sound understanding of automotive requirements, e.g. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety specifications
  • Thorough understanding of IATF 16949 and IS014001 requirements
  • Good understanding of provincial legislation affecting workplace, e.g. Occupational Health & Safety Act, Labour Relations Laws etc.
  • Familiar with the operation of presses, welding and robotics


  • University Degree or College Diploma or equivalent work related experience coupled with completion of various business courses.
